I know there are scores of fans awaiting the release of Stephenie Meyer's final installment in the Twilight Saga. Thus, we are happy to provide you blog readers with a countdown!

Newbie

Hey Bloggers!

My name is Emily, and I am the new Young Adult librarian at the Public Library. I am 24 years old and originally from New York State. I moved to Texas in August, and JUST moved to Amarillo at the beginning of February, so I'm a newbie in more ways than one :). I got my undergraduate (Bachelor's) degree in History, and I'm working on a Master's in Library and Information Sciences.

I hope I can continue providing great programs for everyone, and I'm really excited to be here! If you have any questions about me, or my job, feel free to email me or come see me upstairs, in the youth department, at the Central library (downtown).

TAG Meeting Saturday!

TAG will have their January meeting this Saturday, the 26th, at 3p.m. We will be meeting in the Central Library Meeting room. Bring a friend!

Games at Central on Thursday!

When you can't take being cooped up in the house anymore, make a break for the library on Thursday, December 27th. At 6p.m. we will have Games at Central, in the upstairs meeting room. Bring some friends and enjoy DDR, GHII, or any fun board games you may want to bring in to play.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is making their way through the holiday season. The next TAG meeting is Saturday December 15 at 3 p.m. I hope to see everyone there! You are all important to us.

Thanksgiving Storytime and Craft

The APL TAG will be hosting a Thanksgiving Storytime on November 17 at 4p.m. This event is open to preschoolers-school age kids so be sure to sign up at your library. Reservations are required!

We will have storytime presented by members of our TAG and then everyone will get to make a craft to take home! It will be a lot of fun, so hope to see you there!
